Eric C. Ryan
Founder, Ryan Technologies

Eric graduated from Santa Clara University with a BS in Political Science, having spent a summer in Thailand as a high school student and his junior year at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
 
He received an International MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) where he studied Mandarin.  Eric lived in Beijing from 1988-1991 managing technology sales and technology transfers for western clients of a now NASDAQ-listed US distribution company.

Eric and co-founder, Liu Qing, started what is now Ryan Technologies in 1992.  The company has a unique position in China's public security field, as a bi-cultural company with strong local technical support and after-sale service, capable of promoting technologies nation-wide to a broad range of channels.

The company has twice won export awards from the US Department of Commerce, including an Exporter of the Year award in 2008.

Eric has taught college and extension courses in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, and International Sales. He has consulted in Chinese Cross-cultural Management for Bank of America, Kodak, Ambassador’s International, and other US corporations.

Eric met his wife, Amy, from his hometown of Woodland, CA in the Beijing airport the year the business was started. They have two children.
